Avalanche Bay Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark - Boyne Falls, Michigan - 800-GO-BOYNE Open daily, from 9am to 10pm, this winter wonderland themed indoor waterpark opened in May of 2005. While it is part of the Mountain Grand Lodge and Spa the attraction is open to guests staying elsewhere. The attractions? Splasherhorn is the centerpiece structure with multiple levels, bridges, and water sprays. Every 10 minutes an 800-gallon water avalanche is dumped on those below. Rip Zone is a simulated surfing experience. Vertigo Cannonbowl iw tube slide ending in a bowl. Kitz Pool is an interactive shallow pool area for young children (and their parents). South Wall is a wet climbing wall. Boyne River is the park's lazy river adventure. Downhill Mat Racer is a 4-lane mat slide. Haute Route Water Crossing allows you to walk on water -- well, above floating fake iceberges at least. Super G is a tube slide for single or double riders.
